Hi all, i'm new here so need any help i can get, so here goes...

driving home earlier giving me year 2000 vtr a bit of stick (not too much, but a bit nonetheless) and i changed into fourth, kept my toe in, and was about to change to fifth when... LOSS OF POWER... engine management light came on, and i slowed down to turn off the main road and it conked out altogether!!! after about 20 seconds the car restarted, and the light wasnt on anymore... its dangerous and i wanna know what i've broken lol

    so please help me!!!

Go to your usual mechanic, have it serviced if it hasn't been done.

I'd put my money on moisture on the sparks/coil pack, which triggers the problem. Especialy when it's pissing down rain like in the past 2 weeks.

It's done the same a couple of times since, no engine management light, took it to citroen they said could be fuel pump (no fault codes on ecu) so took it home did the same again, wouldn't restart, tapped the top of the fuel pump and car started and ran fine and has done for three days, so do i get a new pump.

have it fault code read as it could be your crank sensor

yep, it went in to citroen they put it on the diagnostics (£66), no fault codes, the concensus was fuel pump, i've fitted a brand new pump and problem solved.
