Its common knowledge that you have to torq a head up in sequence. But what about taking it off? What do people do, reverse the sequence or just take them off any old how?

I would have thought that if you loosen them one at a time not in a sequence, then it will stain the block and warp the head?

As you suspect it is best to remove them in reverse order, I did half a turn each bolt with mine (still got the head skimmed though), it's just good practice to do this.

Note if you have 1.1 or 1.4 engine not top rotate engine with head off because it will dislodge the liners

as above, undo the bolts gradually in reverse order to how u torque it up, and dont turn engine over without a head on as the wet liners will get dislodged
