Cold start (mornings mostly) car doesnt tick over properly

   Bit of a problem ive noticed recently especially in the cold weather is when I start my car and try reversing out of my drive I notice the rev counter starts to drop dramatically and starts to cut out, to prevent this I have to rev the car a lil bit more than usual to prevent it from doing it
   
   But once im on the road it seems to be fine as soon as the engine is nice and warm?
   
   Just wanted to know what could be the problem?
   Is there an easy solution to sort it out?

   Hmmm I may get a garage to look at this problem, im not really mechanically minded at all

   Air temp sensor about £13.00 from gsfcarparts.
