Need a new Oil breather/(filter)

  1. #1
Anyone know a good Oil breather to purchase?

When i got my car there was a what looks like a mini air filter/oil breather.

It's still attached but is releasing a bit of oil and obviously isn't secured and air tight anymore.
    I need to replace it.

Anyone know where i can get one from? which will fit nicely and prevent this from happenin again? The one i have got looks similar to this and is SHIT!

    Thanks guys.

As much as it hurts me - probably halfords is your best bet

Lol i knew people would say this, its just random because i've had a look at the ones on Halfords and it looks like the original filter is a direct match to the one from halfords. I might go for the pipercross ones which are a little bit more money, but i just don't want it to leak or come loose again you know?

well they will always leak a little bit of oil lol they are an oil breather filter that's connected at the end of a tube coming from the engine !!

I have a steady leak of oil comming from my aftermarket breather.. dribbles down the manifold and is getting stinky and dirty.

Im thinking of going back to standard airbox as its starting to annoy,

You could get yourself a catch can. Cheap enough from eBay, helps keep your engine bay a bit cleaner, and stops oil dripping onto driveways/tracks ect....

Also they look quite cool if u get a nice polished or anodized one , and make an effort to fit it properly.

Just incase anyone wants to know, bought the pipercross oil breathers, £20 and it just fits and looks better than any others thats been on the car. Hope this solves the little problem.
