Im wanting to get a vtr ecu for my 1.4 furio , but i was wondering today if it would just be a simple take the old one out , replace with vtr one.. Is it that simple or because im putting a 1.6 ecu on my 1.4 , will have to buy anything else like a 1.6 inlet ??

#2why do you want to put a vtr ecu on it?
the 1.4 one is perfectly fine -
#3adds that little bit more power to it!!

At least going from a 1.4 8v to a 1.6 16v I knew I'd have more power
You can't just stick Ecu's onto cars whilly nilly !!! The Ecu's are designed and mapped up specifically for engine parameters, I suppose a major one isn't engine capacity?! Or Injector sizing?!
It's upto you, but I won't be commenting on your next thread about your car running not quite right with a 1.6 Ecu on it - let alone it not starting as your immobiliser light will be flashing unless you get the vtr one unlocked -
#9better off just gettin the 1.4 one mapped
