Strange smell coming from exhaust

   Hey i have a mk1 vtr and when its running it smells almost like a 2stroke any ideas thanks

   smells of petrol ? burning oil?

   Lol no cat fitted straight through pipe . Smells like petrol but prob closer to a 2stroke engine smell

   Sounds normal tbh, car could be running a tad rich if you've got an inlet leak?!

   Ok cheers will have a look.My mk1 engine has mk2 coil pack (done by previous owner) is it a bad idea?

   All cars used to smell like that before cats iirc. Those were the good/bad old days lol !

   if its de-cat then you will get that smell tbh
