knocking noise vts engine

   my engine has a knocking sound think its from the top end though. It rattles when you rev the engine but doesnt do it all the time but more often then not. Ne1 have ne ideas what it could be.

   could be manifold heat guard, or exhaust loose under the car
   
   if its a rattling noise from the engine then the tappets may need adjusting..

   yeh im pretty sure its from then engine. My mates a mechanic so hopefulyy he can sort it out. Cheers mate
