   when you say "bored" what do you mean?..
   do you mean ported? as in increasing the width of the inlet and exhaust port diameters?.
   if so then the answer is yes i`m sure it has been done hundreds of times but to what size i wouldnt know!.
   different companys do different things!

   maybe upto a 1.8 but im not sure if it can be done as they are wet liners

   think it can be done but ive heard that you cant go too far or you bore into the water jackets ratty would be the man to ask!

   i wouldnt bore the engine the cyclinder walls ae uber thin as it is. Better idea would be to stroke it to 1.8 but i dont think anyone has done it yet, though i know of a few that have bought the parts

   you can do a max of .5mm (yes thats not a typo) as the walls are too thin, not too bad on a standard engine, but if using high compression or boosted it would murder then pistons and walls.
