Hi guys, I've changed the black immobilizer box, ecu, barrel, keys etc and when i go to start the car its tries to start turns over sounds like its running for a second then just cuts out. I know the fuel pump is priming and there is fuel coming through. Any ideas on what the problem could be. Thanks

#2as is always the problem on conversions. check the earths on gearbox and chassis behind battery.

#6pull plugs out and put them in coil pack but next to block or somewhere for it to earth. then try start it and see if its sparking.#crank sensor connected?

#7cheers for the info.... i was thinking that maybe i could have a faulty crank sensor. ill see if i have spark tomorrow and if i do ill go and change the crank sensor. cheers guys ill post here if i get any further.

#8if you have a spark then there isnt a problem with crank sensor.

#9okay update:- engine now runs but i need to change the battery as its screwed. The problem was that the immobilizer needed to be recoded. So i let the engine run and then noticed that there was a puddle of oil below the oil filter. Any ideas as to why, should the gasket have to be changed also as the metal housing the oil filter sits on has done 90k. help appreciated.

#10It could be somthing as simple as the oil filter not being tight,Have you changed it whilst doing the conversion?
