Lambda Sensor

I have recently fitted a saxsport exhaust to my Saxo.

My previous standard exhaust had a boss mounted on the centre pipe with the 2nd lambda sensor welded in (this is the lambda that was originally meant to be after the CAT).

I had to cut the lambda sensor off the loom because I could not remove the weld.

My question is: I know I can attach another lambda sensor to the loom, but is there a specific one I need, i.e. does the 1.1/1.4/VTR/VTS lambda sensors differ.

I have seen this one ebay, I know it needs to have 4 wires, so this one looks suitable:

And another question, are the 1st and 2nd lambda sensors different in any way?

Im not sure on the later vts setup, but surely the sensor has a connecting plug to the main engine loom, that can be un-plugged and replaced like for like.... So just buy the sensor for the car, ie with the correct fitment/colour plug. This may not be the case if its hard wired!

Welding the sensor doesnt sound good atall.....

Just pick one up off a vts thats being broken.

I should have realised it just unplugs from the loom as the front one did. I will unplug it tomorrow and re-wire it.
