Ignition barrel

   Alright all,.
   
   Had to replace this which came with a new key. The car started first time but when I tried it later the Immobiliser kicks in. Does that mean the key itself needs re-programming? And is it only Citroen that can do this or someone else?

   Take both keys to an auto electrician place, explain that you want the new key programming to the old one - its probably blank. Might as well get a spare key cut while your there - you might get your new key programmed for free

   take key to an auto locksmiths or decent key cutters and say you want your old chip (from original key) placed in a case only key and cut to new key cuts.
   
   i work as a locksmith in torquay, and its quite a common thing i had to do it to my saxo.
