Quick Question GMC Air Filter

  1. #1
Hey people, i was browsing through the GMC Motorsport site and came accross thier line of air filter(s)/Induction kits for the saxo, they say they have a 'copy' of the 'Citroen Works' air filter (enclosed) and its at a decent price too, what do you lot think?

    Clicky
(click on 'engine' then 'air filter'.)

    1) Is this worth it?
    2) Is this better than a 'open' induction kit filter?

The kit looks 'like' the GREEN enclosed one to me, so i was just wondering, im going to start purchasing my mods soon. My budget is mid-level, so take that into consideration.

    Cheers guys.

    P.s. not for sound, performance.

Go for it, but from last I heard they didnt have any in stock, but that was a couple of weeks ago...

Same idea as any enclosed, all with the same benefits - so just depends how much money you wana spend

Im going to give thema call on monday, see if they can do me a good deal on a few parts. They seem good, i'v not heard anything bad about GMC as yet.

In the mean time im going to fit a standard, well cone type filter today, until i get a good enclosed one, can i use the saxo's original piping to fit this ? its one of those universal kits, i purchased this a very long time ago for my ex civic but never got around fitting it.

yes standard piping will be fine.

THe gmc/works one is or is pretty much identical to the simota/green enclosed

Excellent, cheers scott, hey have you got a picture of the standard piping being used for a filter? im sure i saw one, i'v searched through the saxo's featured here, cant seem to find one.

    Is this any good ?

I imagine that would do the job, but I have no clue on its performance gains etc. My mate has one in his 106 gti and he seems to like it
