fitting a power steering pump on a vtr

   fitting a power steering pump on a vtr this sunday (first time) whats main things to look out for when doing this job all advice welcome . also do i need to bleed the system and how do i go about this ?

   Make sure you use a wire brush to get all the rust and crap of the unions cos its no good if you round them off... make sure you use the correct size spanners. Dont think you will need to bleed it, the reservoir is right at the top of the engine bay - far above the pump + rack - any air will just go to the top, just make sure its topped up to the right level after a good run

   it was surpose to have had a recon pump fitted not so long ago so recon the bolts wont be to hard to get of how many are there ? also will i need to remove the bracket that the pump sits inside ?

   bracket can stay put, just 2 10mm bolts that hold the pump in the bracket

   ok done and dusted today wasnt really a problem and all is working fine
