Power steering conversion

   Hi everyone, i bought a forte a month ago. The car is great however the steering isnt great, and would like it to be power steering. Is it possible to change my steering to power steering, if so, please could someone post a response on how they did it. Thanks.

   get a power steering rack, piping, pump etc. Then wire it up into the loom. Would be cheaper and easier to sell up and buy a car with power steering

   as above plus pedal box is different iirc, not worthwhile

   Dont know about forte models, but on the saxo phase one model you will also need to change the steering column,( Non power steering column is different length ) and brake and clutch pedals.( you will need to change the housing in the bulkhead where the steering column fits in to. Brake and clutch pedals are attached to this. ) Good luck if you go for it though.

   ok thanks lads. I have decided to not go ahead with it, i will save up for a car with power steering next year. Thanks again.
