03 VTR Engline spark issue

    I have an 03 plated VTR, it has been left outside with the battery disconnected for around 8 months.

    It will crank but not fire up.

    I have checked the battery which is fine and there is fresh petrol in the tank. The engine just wont fire. I've tried spraying 'Easystart' into the air intake and it still wont fire, I have changed the spark plugs.

    I have tried connecting it to a booster pack and bump starting it, I am pretty sure the starter motor is fine.

    Any help would be appreciated greatly! Its a fucking nightmare!

    is the fuel pump priming when you turn the key?

    Because I've sprayed starter fluid into the air intake, I was under the impression that it would mean there was no spark/compression? because it would replace the fuel element anyway?

    well if you have no spark there is no source of ignition. so no amounts of fuel or easy start will ignite

    check for spark.
    check fuel pump is priming.

    imobiliser light flashing on the dash?

    that only to help it start, not run it, when you turn the key to ignitio, you should here the fuel pump prime, if not that then that you problem

    under the rear seat.

    just a whiring sound. you will hear it as you turn the key.

    yeah I can hear it, would the fuel filter need to be changed?

    have you checked for spark?

    I have a coil pack. Should I take it off with spark plugs attatched and press them against a metal part of the engine?

    whats happening when you turn the key? can you hear the starter motor? also did you try to start it before you changed the spark plugs?

    yeah. The starter motor is fine I think, it makes the same noise prior to changing the plugs, I've tried bumping it aswell didnt work. Its like turning over but not firing up so it sounds like its making all the effort without firing.

    sounds like there no fuel getting to the engine, check the injectors and fuel lines see if there fuel coming threw
