Heat Sheild

   Hi People!
   
   I was servicing my car today and when I got round to adjusting the handbrake, I snapped all four of the bolts holding the heat sheilds in place.
   
   I was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else? If so, how can it be fixed? And would it do any damage to leave it off?

   so it no good then? lol! its just that its leaving a few things exposed like handbrake adjuster and stuff

   I dont think you should leave it off. the exhaust gets hotter than you think.

   heat shields are a waste of time they work loose eventually

   believe me ive done over 20,000 miles in 3 different cars with no heat shields without issue

    it wouldnt be a problem taking it off but if u want to fix it on use selftapping screws and tap it into the chasis
