A friend off mine has a 2001 1.4 automatic which has an itermitant starting problem. She has tried moving gearlever back and for just in case the switch that prevents it starting in gear is faulty but it makes no differance. It been to a dealer a few times but sods law it's always ok when it's there. When the key is turned to the start position nothing happens except the battery light goes out, all other lights stay on. This problem sometimes it will start fine a few times then it will not start for days. Hope someone can help. Thanks mark
