voltage output of vts speedometer?

Got to do a project at uni for electronics so thort i'd make something a bit pointless but fun to make.
Gonna make a sort of line of LED's to indicate speed of the car using a similar system to that of LED rev counters.
So does anyone know the range of voltages that the input to the existing speedo goes from and to?

Prob says it in the haynes but I currently don't have one.
Can anyone help?

5v and it works off pulses and not a static voltage so if you measured the wire it wouldnt be stable.
