Headlight problem

   My headlights are all over the place, I can drive with high beam on and it just looks like I have normal beam on, Ive just put some new brighter bulbs in and don't get me wrong they are brighter but I carnt see far infront of me. I think it's something to do with the little metal thing that covers the bulb as I messed with it when spraying the chrome inners, what do I need to do to get my headlights back to normal. Oh and by the way on the ajuster in the car yes that does work but still poo visability? :s

   if you painted the reflectors thats why the lights are shite
   get some new lamps

   I havnt painted the reflectors, just the chrome casing
