weird problem

   right well .. having a bit of trouble with the gears on the saxo , when i try and put it in first the dials start moving about .. not majorly but enough to notice , and then when it slots actualy into first the dials go like mad and the car cuts out ?? , its done it one time where the revo's got stuck on 2k revs and stayed there until a couple of times of starting it .. can anyone shine a light on this for me pleease lol , im not sure if ive made complete sense .. let me know :Y: cheers

   remember'd a few things i should probaly point out .. when the car cuts out after going into first the engine management light comes on , and it doesnt do it all the time . seems like my saxos time of the month

   have you checked the earth on gearbox is clean tight and not broken
