Ive been told on here that my diesel model doesnt have a ECU. So does anyone know how i would go about wiring up a rev counter/tachometer?
Ive seen some diesels on eBay fitted with one, but they have a silver box (ECU?) above the battery like this (arrowed) http://i46.tinypic.com/2ep3rwh.jpg
Everything else on that engine in the picture is the same as whats on mine, i just dont have a silver box.
Someone said i would need to run it off the alternator, how would i do this? I could i run it off the speed-drive sensor on the back of the gearbox?
