colour coding base plates

   iv painted my black base plates for my new m3 mirrors, i want to know , do i rub them down with wet and dry before applying clear gloss.

   You want to rub them down with very fine wet and dry then apply a light coat of paint again before laquering.
   
   They'll come up a treat.
