Steering Knocking

    Ok, when my vtr is stationary and i move the steering wheel left to right pretty quickly a knocking soun seems to be coming from somewhere. Any ideas on what this knocking is? Also, if it helps, my car is lowered 40mm.

    Could be the track rod end

    yeh, I'd guess track rod end or the central track rod bush.

    Maybe worth getting a garage to have a look at it - they should be able to diagnose it pretty quick if it is one of them

    i got a problem with my saxo i got a real loud clonking noise when im driving in a straight like and gets worse when i turn left and completely goes when i turn right ? ive replaced both cv joints including driveshafts and both front wheel bearing. does any1 have any ideas in which it could be ?

    drop link? ARB Bush? Track rod end? top mount bearing

    Get it up on a ramp and have a look where the play is - a garage could easily do this

    I think i will have 2 but i have also been told that low gear box oil can cause the noise aswell ill have to get it checked out cheers !
