backbox's

    why do you have tohave a backbox?. i mean i took mine off to see if i could see a hole (which i couldn't) and thought "oh i wonder what my car sounds like without it on" so i fired it up. and it sounded beasty even for a 1.1 lol why

    I dont know of any laws that say you have to have a back box. but you can get done for excessive noise if you get a realy childish copper. i agree they do sound beast without back box, the mrs' broke off a while back it gave it a realy deep subaru sorta sound to it.

    Silencer as standard probably.

    Mine sounds nice as a 4.5" Slash

    they are fitted so everyone doesn't get woken up in the middle of the night when a car drives past your house...

    my centre pipe broke off the other day leaving an open centre pipe and although it was stupidly loud and awesome.. performance was definetly lacking and it will fail an MOT if it doesn't have a backbox on it isn't as was standard , ie had a backbox originally ..
