remote central locking?

a mate has just got a ph2 vtr and when you press the button on the fob it locks then unlocks itself asif a door is open, if you lock it with the key it locks fine then you can unlock it with the remote but when its jacked up on one side it locks and unlocks fine.
any ideas?

mine only does that when the drivers doors open , so maybe theres a fault in teh drivers side..maybe sttrip the doorcards n look or loose conections
