Weird Brake Pads

  1. #1
I've just received my new mintex pads, supposedly a standard replacement, slightly better than OE apparently; but two of them have metal brackets on the back of the pad a wire about 10cm long sprouting out of the top.

I assume the wires are brake wear sensors, but I wasn't aware Saxo's had them?

The label on the side says Saxo range 96-02 and mines a Y 2001, so they should fit, but I fear sod's law.

    Thanks

The clips are so the pad locates in the piston on the front calipers, just cut the wire off as it's not needed. As to whether they will fit or not i dont know, as saxos have 3 different makes of caliper; bendix, ate (cant rem the name of the other) and IIRC they all use slightly different shape pads

edit, Teves that's the name i was looking for

as said chop the wires off. Metal clips go into the piston. All vtr/s use the same calipers so if it says vtr or vts on the box they will fit
