gearbox or clutch

   i was driving to work today and i put my clutch down and i could not put it in gear it felt like it was blocked ..........

   Could be alot of things tbh.
   
   Linkages
   Clutch
   Box
   
   Need a bit more details. Things to check to narrow it down;
   
   Does it go in gear when parked up with engine off and clutch up. (lift handbrake up and try pushing it, it wont move if it has)
   Does the clutch lever move on the gearbox when clutch pedal pressed. (get someone to watch, its under the bonnet just under the battery)
