Cornering Issues

  1. #1
    Recently fitted Superleggera's 195/45/15

    Down 40-45mm on Eibach Sportlines

Was going around a sweeping left hander with abit of speed only to have the front right judder; it felt as though the tyre was constantly rebounding against the inner arch until the corner straightened out, but it was only a quarter turn on the wheel.

I got home, took the wheel off and noticed a sight rubbing mark where I think I hit full lock at less than 5mph to get out of my drive but don't feel anything; there was nothing to indicate significant catching.

Any suggestions as to what is causing this? I think possible droplink?

    Thanks

Do you mean the rubbing mark was on the interior arch or the tyre?

The plastic cowling in the inner arch, apologies.

No problem bud. Could be the droplink. I've heard of this on larger tyre sizes than this so it has to be suspension related and not anything else. Have you got any spacers fitted or anything like that?

Yeah, it's on 20mm spacers; and at full lock standing still there is about an inch gap between tyre and inner arch, so I don't think its catching around corners, especially with such little turn in as mentioned.
