i had problems getting mine undone as well, used a hack saw in the end, but if i had a grinder i would have used that, would be a 5 second job with a grinder

You have basically disconnected the antiroll bar so handling will be altered but I would not worry.
When you fit a new droplink, put some silicon sealer in the bottom to stop it all rusting, then when you come to want to remove it in the future you pull it out and the allen key will not burr.

Take it steady and it will be fine I drove without mine for a day or so and it just made the handling a bit rubbish thats all.

it took about 10 mins with the hacksaw, i used a junior hacksaw and snapped about 5 blades, you could try a pair of vice grips clamped on the ball and then a socket on the nut if its not rounded off

can i fail mot without one ?

I would have thought so yes as your steering and suspension is not as it should be!

i think you can fail an mot for worn or play in the droplink, so pretty sure if you had ball joints hanging there it would be a fail, it is a right pain in the arse geting them off but its not that hard, just might take abit of time, and new links are only £22 from europarts

you will defo fail an mot. You can drive without them but you will need to remove the arb
