Does anyone know what colour in the halfords paint range is icelandic grey? It doesn't have ice grey so wondered if they called it something else? The code on the car is EGC something and in the halfords chip repair kit things it says its quartz silver?

#2My local has Icelandic grey cans?

#3I've heard the match is crap on Halfrauds paint.
In my opinion you're better off going to Citroen and buying the real stuff. You get two 150ml cans, one of the paint, and one of clear laquer. -
#4o riight it must just be my shit local one then! I saw the colour code in their book in store and it said I would need a citroen quartz chip repair kit, so I bought a spray can as well to do my front grill. Now like a donut i've just sprayed it quartz and its completely fucking wrong lol. Ill try another halfrods for the right colour!
1 more problem, ive primered and now sprayed my grill with a top coat of quartz silver. I havn't lacquered it yet. In order to spray it ice grey can i just spray directly onto the quartz silver? or do I have to rub it down with fine grade wet and dry and primer it again? -
#5rub it down slightly and put a coat of primer on

#7It's weird though even when you search Citroen Icelandic Grey on the halfords website it only comes up with citroen meteor grey, citroen pearl grey, and citroen arctic steel ?!

#8Wont need primer,as long as you take off the clearcoat with wet and dry first.Quote:o riight it must just be my shit local one then! #9well the colour match might be even worse if a coat of primer isnt added
-
#10tbh I do see the logic in using primer again as it will affectively be back down to a proper base coat. So think i will take your advice tom lol
