Light Handeling

  1. #1
    Hiya,

Recently Started Driving a VTS after a GTi i thought the gti was very nice to drive an it had power steering but was not silly light.... where aa me new VTS feels like i am driving on ICE all the time it is horrible to drive being that light,

i understand this is personal prefrance but i would like to know if there is anything i can do to make the handeling more weighty

i have herd talking out the power steering pump will help this but will it not damage a car that is built for power steering ?

many thanks for any help !

    Power steering is removable.

Is it definatly that which is causing the issues and not different tyres or such?

i had same problem with my punto, i realised i had pumped my tyres too much, and there was hardly any grip to the road, therefore yeah, was like driving on ice. I just deflated the tyres to 32 psi (they was at about 60 lol,) and then it seemed fine

Well i have the same raptors on the VTS as i did on the GTi so they should be identical as they are the very same tyres the gti was lower though it sat a 60 mil all round, the VTS is sitting about 30/40 odd mil all round

    cheers for the help

As said too much tyre pressure I bought a Metro from a car dealer once he`d pumped up the tyres to 50psi was like skating.
