My clutch pedal stiff how to loosen

   hi there iv recently brokken my foot and pretty much walking again!!
   
   my clutch pedal on my Treg saxo vtr is really stiff IE: it takes a lot of effort to press it down any ideas how to loosen the pedal so that i can get back to driving as quick as possible
