Supersprint Centre Pipe

   Just been offered a decent supersrint centre pipe for £40, i think its a good deal so might snap it up as I have been looking a full supersprint system. But I still have my standard backbox (Mk2 VTR).
   
   Will there be any difference in power? Also the main thing im looking for here is noise, will it be louder than the standard centre pipe? Even witht the standard backbox?

   The exhaust note will be louder due to the ss race centre pipe not having a silencer (so now instead of 2 silencers you will have 1). As for power im not sure if just a centre pipe will do much? Im not certain though.

   Grab youself a sportex back box to go with it. There cheap, sound good and well made

   alright mate, ive got a supersprint centre pipe on mine when i first got it i didnt have my back box so i put the standard box back on, revs take longer to come down so its a little more responsive and there is a slight change in noise but not over the top, i put a scorpion back box on and then you can notice the difference for for £40 you cant go wrong mate snatch it up!!!

   back box does not do anythink for perfomance any way id get it mate for the price you will notice it revs better etc

   it will be a bit louder, you'll probly feel a bit more response in the higher rev range as theres less pressure in the exhaust so it'll probly pull a bit better, £40 go for it

   o forgot to mention i got a straight thought on my vts with standerd back box and lot of people say it sounds nice as it aint in ya face loud etc and can feel a nice pull

    I've just got a standard straight through from citroen and an OEM backbox from a garage, sounds a lot better than standard pipe so yours will sound a lot nicer Pops and bangs too

    whats NOT the best backbox ??? as in whats the worst backbox ?? i have an Ashley 3inch backbox and that sounds really great , nice rasp when revving also quite deep but not annoying when around town or on teh motorway

    Ahh okay.. after reading upwards... i feel stupid now lol .. and can you not get an original vtr backbox ?? they sort of dip down and under.. might fit underneath your smoothed bumped and look better ??

    well vtr back boxes come out of the exhaust recess that has been smoothed over lol so no lol and i wanted a hidden back box so for the moment unless i get a custom one made up ill stick with my 106 box lol

    well ashley exhuasts are mean to be the loudest , i think mines pretty loud and it is nice and raspy over 4000 rpm or on redline

    can any one tell me if the supersprint magnum is nice and raspy? any pops and bangs?? looking for a raspy exhaust with pops and bangs as im not too happy with my scorpion exhaust.....

    not really loud, its nice it doesn't piss you off on the motorway but loud enuff when you boot it

    thats a good point tbh , if it sounds meaty but no one can see it then it must be quite amusing obv not being able to see like a 4inch hole lol
