Vts altenator plug

    My battery was completely dead today, i bought a new battery last week so my alternator is on its way out but before i change the alternator i want to replace a plug that connects to the alternator that has two wires going to it. This plug is completely cracked so i had to tape it up temporarily. Anybody know where i can get one, Citroen want the number on the wire which i cant seem to find. GSF said they don't do them, also welsh auto parts said they don't do them either. I want to just eliminate the plug problem as it may just be this before i change the alternator. I have a diagram of my alternator below if it helps



    Also does anybody know how much a new alternator like the one above would cost. Thanks.

    go to a scrappy, find a saxo and cut off a 2 pin weather proof plug that'd fit.

    The best way to get hold of the plug tbh.

    The plug is for the battery light on your dash, ie it comes on if you have charging problems
