Best way to get a Furio/Westcoast poppin :)???

    The best and cheapest way to get a 1.4 saxo poping, banging and if its possible flaming? I know very little about cars and even less about saxo's always been a ford man having been bought up with RS2000 and cossies etc. help and advice would be much appriciated

    over fueling. a good exhaust.

    how do you get over fueling? other (vtr) injectors? i thought over fueling was a bad thing...

    Over fueling is a bad thing performance wise. And you can get adjustable fuel pressure regulators and turn the fueling up. Will most likely make it run like crap.

    ye will have to get an after market fuel pressure regulator and turn it up abit

    as above tho it will run shit

    why would you want it to do this? The bike does it if i let off the throttle and it scares the shit outa me if its 2 loud!

    a good panel filter also will improve your chances

    thanks for your help and advice guys! and ashleyp, as i stated, i know nothing about cars and i didn't realise it was a bad thing, imo i think cars sound awesome with a bit of popping when droping rev's, changing gears etc. i wasn't intented as a 'chav' mod and i thinks your to quick to judge! i'll leave it there

    The essex thing was a joke dude i have various friends from essex

    although. thinking it's cool to have a popping exhaust is a bit childish / pointless imo. all well and good on a race prepped car. but road cars should be subtle and look classy

    the big turboed fords pop and bang because of the anti lag

    and you shouldnt have a race car popin and bangin... if it does its not setup right

    lol fair enough mate, it may be childish but being bought up with cossie's and goin to shows with poping and flames in the convoy due to power i believe?, i think im trying to run before i can walk if you know what i mean.

    Poppin and bangin on a race car is either a horrific sign or a great sign. either over fuelling or brilliant engine response and exhaust pulse length

    most rs's do it generally because of the power i believe, i dont want the anti-lag sound, thats a bit extreem! just the occasional little pop here and there

    bein with big fords is just a tad essexs haha

    but ye i know what you mean its most likely slightly over fuelin and where their turboed the exhaust will be extremly hot... which will burn off the excess fuel

    My mates got a 2.1 pinto capri with a 3" pipe straight through .. its LOUD and pops and bangs like a bitch LMAO

    I had A 4-2-1 Raceland, Straight through and A Peco back box that popped and Banged when ever I wanted it to really....

    The Big Turbo cars Pop and bang more 'cause of the Anti-lag

    The old Mk1-2 with a good exhaust system really does it for me!

    Good example. Seat BTCC race car, was spitting flames on every lap on the braking zone going into graham hill bend at brands. and that's a seriously sorted car

    they have nice long duration camshafts which help as well as a proper exhaust so gases are pulled away from the exhaust valve. This will pull fuel into the exhaust where it ignites.

    cant go wrong. thats why the exhaust is the perfect length and slightly in set from the bumber. function over form.

    it will be inset to stop it getting damaged as they 'bump' eachother.

    ive got a scorpion back box with a supersprint straight through centre section, if i put a manifold on this what would it sound like?

    I have a Sportex 4-2-1 manifold and full custome stainless steel straight through made by pro speed, my car5 does 37 miles for a fiver and popps loads between gear's when tapping throttle at about 3k revs, really sounds wiked overall cost was £85 for center section, £160 for backbox and £135 for manifold

    But i do have a Mk 2 vtr, so by giving it a 4-2-1 manifold this decated it as the cat was originaly in the manifold

    It's not actually over fueling that makes it bang from what I understand
    it's when it runs lean when you let off and it stops fueling

    my 205 pops constantly if I'm not on the throttle as it's carburetted it just stops fueling apart from the idle jet

    basically though a decat straight through and it should pop a bit
    a mani will help
    and induction may a tad but I doubt it

    4-2-1 mani . and a good exhaust straight throu . and tbh mate you dont really wana pop flames its bad but its up to you spose . .

    my bro got 1.4 west coast running super sprint straight throu and a magnus back box ( or how ever you spell it) pops,bangs, and flames

    my janspeed system and 421 pop and fart when i top the throttle but only pops when i want to thank god
