Wheel refurbishment?

  1. #1
Ok guys not sure this is the wrong section but just going to go ahead anyway.

My wheels are fucked and are in dire need of a refurbishment, a few questions, is there anything I should be looking out for in wheel refurbishment, as in the tools they use, how the final effect will come out etc?

How much roughly am I looking at paying for all 4 to be done? And lastly anyone know any areas around the Kent/South East/London area that are good?

    TIA.

powder coat is a good way i think you can get it done for about 100 for the set but with painting i have had quotes from 25 to 40 per wheel

Usualy about 30-40 quid a wheel i think?

Might be better looking for another set that are in better nick, if you've got standard wheels?

There 16inch OZ Super T's, with two brand new Toyo Proxes on the front, so ideally I don't want to be selling, they look nice aswell, and would look lush when refurbed.

    Just do them yourself mate.

Im doing mine next week. The materials I need have only cost me £25.

That includes the cans of primer, paint, laquer, wet and dry paper, and masking tape.

Doing them yourself is a good idea and will save you a lot of money, but you can't beat the finish of a proffesional refurb.

Theres 2 places that I no of near me which is fairly near you as well as I see your from chislehurst. Spit and polish in Tonbridge which will do a full refurb and powdercoat for £55 a wheel. And there's another place called diamond styling in otford near mcdonalds that do wet paint not powdercoat at £50. Both might seem pricey but i've been in and seen their work and they do come out mint.

These are way, way to far gone to be done myself, trust me.

i;d recommend doing them yourself too cos it;s actually not to much hassle and save a packet, but then i read what wheels you got, multi spokes def pay for someone to do them for you, you can save a few quid if you prep them yourself tho ie rubb them down to bare metal.
