What he said. Some pre-2001 have 266mm dics but they're solid instead of vented. The higher-end models (1.9D etc) have 266mm vented brakes on a Lucas caliper though.

Post 2002 I think almost all of them were 266mm vented BOSCH jobbies.

  22. #22
planet rover what is ur set up i went to buy discs pads and callipers today for a 01 berlingo 1.9 d in bosch and he sed there diff offsets do u have anypart numbers plz
  23. #23
You want the 34mm overall height ones, provided your bosch calipers have the square ended pads

If the pads have circular ends, you want the 27mm height ones
  24. #24
use my old carriers cant i then see wt pads r in them
  25. #25
    Standerd lines will fit
    but
they have a tendancy to pull tight on full lock or suspension travel.
This can cause the hose to fail and is also an mot failure.
So its down to the individual.
Swapping calipers to improve the brakes is also a good chance to get rid of the rubber lines that expand under pressure for braided lines that transfer all the pressure to the caliper.
Particuly when i can supply the braided lines for not alot more than you can get rubber önes for

Swampy are the ones you supply for 266mm conversions longer then? As mine do stretch slightly on full lock...

And steve I can't make sense of your post...
  27. #27
Mikol yes they are chap not by a vast amount but by enough that they allow some slack
  28. #28
Ah awesome - I think we may have had this conversation a few months back

You'll be seeing some money off me then once I shift my old ones and slap on the 266's.
  29. #29
    Yeah we did chap.
Not a problem can do them any time.
  30. #30

Read my reply above dude, what more info do you need?
  33. #33
ive gave them all the info u have given me mate they just thick i think lol they sed the only discs they do are lucas where all the other parts are bosch is that ok ? which pug 405 wud i get these all off cuz there loads goin around by me
  34. #34
The 27mm overall height ones are for the Lucas calipers (or very early BOSCH ones)

The 34mm ones are the ones that suit most BOSCH calipers and are indeed at a different offset.

Best bet is probably to grab some online. Ebay is your friend.
  35. #35
ok mate what u running on urs cuz im getting it all brand new ta
  36. #36
I will be running BOSCH 266mm calipers, square ended mintex pads with matching 34mm height mintex discs.

But being 3 stud I need some custom spacers and adapters first, else I'd have had it done ages ago...
  37. #37
    do original carriers fit
  38. #38
No. They are very very different
  39. #39
ive found that mine catch the wheel weights
  40. #40
mikol if i get a 405 set up i need 405 carriers dont i then
  41. #41
Genrally yes but I have no experience with 405's, nor any clue why you'd want brakes from a 15 year old car tbh.

I'd find some newer ones with less miles on them
