Loss of power from my VTS

Hey guys im recently experiencing power loss from my car i had a Raceland induction kit fitted with a green filter and since i has it fit on its not as quick as it used to go. I have to say from 50 mph to 60 mph only touch the throttol and it would take about 2 secs to get there but now its like i put my foot all the way down to floor and it takes about 5 secs. So there is a difference and i am drinking alot more fuel.

Could it be the K & N kit playing up ive drove it for more then 200 miles for it to get tuned in.

What can i do guys my saxo is like a vtr at the moment i need your help please guys thanks

Put a better air filter setup on it - you got a k&n or raceland setup?

Maybe give it a good service? Unplug the battery for a bit to let the ecu learn the car again

I had a Simota Induction Kit on mine (Similar to yours) and it did the same thing. Just didn't feel as responsive. I would take it off and just use OEM box with decent Panel Filter and Cold Air feed. Doesn't really have the sound your raceland has, but it worked.

Couldn't agree more about sticking with the standard setup with a panel filter.

I'd look at an exhaust for a bit of noise if you're after more

Right ok guys i think that be the road to take then. I put some injector cleaner in it today but i think maby i should just put standard box back in and buy a K & N panel filter.

Does that trick work unplugging the battery off for abit. What does it do? thanks again guys really appreciate it

Unplugging the battery just resets your ECU. ECU then takes readings and adjusts the levels for best running, such as how fuel is is squirted and Air. I tried this on mine and made no difference.

have too unplug it for 24 hours though

Another question guys if i took the cover off and left the green filter without a case would that work better or no.

I got my other air box but god knows how to fit it back on plus i need to buy a standard panel filter again now

I definitely think its not going as good as it used to it take about 5 seconds to reach from 50mph - 60mph in 5th when i put foot to floor as before it took me something like 2 secs :/

Cant put my finger on it

You don't want the full standard setup back on. Just the OEM box. First box that runs from throttle body. Then run a cold air feed to the hole where the rest of the original setup would of gone.

Not sure what difference it will make just having filter. In theory with a good cold air feed it should be better, but couldn't say for sure.
