loss of power

    Hi all, i have a saxo 1.1 forte single point injection tu1m engine, whenever i set of and bring clutch up then go to put foot down the car just looses power jumps about and then will regain power, it also does this when i drop into second to go round a corner once round the corner to pull off it just jumps about for a second or two will also do it in third, basically when i put my foot down the is a big delay jumps about then will move starting to piss me right off any help please

    Definately a misfire!

    Check: Plugs, HT Leads, Crank Sensor, coil pack if you want you can jst replace them all to be safe

    the plugs,ht leads, and coil pack are all new

    Crank sensor then may just need a clean

    would that cause a missfire without putting the engine managment light on ?

    Yes mate! You EML would come on if it got so bad that the ECU hops into limp mode...

    ok mate will take it out tomorow and give it a clean, what shall i clean with ? also if i still have the problem after cleaning whats the next step?

    my engine man light has popped on at all, makes me wonder ....
