Cam Removal

   Hi folks
   
   Have just removed my old head which is beyond use, and have a new head, however can't get te cam off
   
   don't have a haynes manual at hand to have a look, have removed the little u shaped bracket holding the non pulley on in position, it slides out a bit and then stops
   
   any ideas?

   Have you removed the rocker arms and everything connected? The cam should literally just pull out the side

   had to bang mine out, seriousley was stuck in, only came out in a certain position too tom.. was mega confused buy it, haynes had nothing on it, couldnt work it out, think it was due to a fault in the camshaft seal (the oe unit)

   Got it out, almost did the bang out part as it came half out.
   
   Want to know what stops it?
   
   A bloody oil seal, have to get a screwdriver and pry it out, its only hardened plastic, and it stops the whole thing coming out.
   
   One to remember I guess
