locking wheel nuts!!

  1. #1
    Hey guys,

This is currently the pain in my arse, my locking wheel nuts!

I have take a set off of a saxo before, I did this by taking the car to work and welding a nut on. Now i have the same problem but i cannot get them off for toffie.

What i HAVE tried and obviously has not worked

    Bolt removal socket
Welding a nut onto the top of the bolt
    smashing a socket onto it
    drilling the bolt out
even called a dealers and tried to buy a new key!

    None of these have woked.

I does anyone have any idea of what i can do to get these out? I can not take the car to a garage because i have 4 flats and i am not overly keen on calling them out for them to rape my wallet

So any ideas? Better yet anyone have a Key in kent they can lend me

    Thanks guys

youve drilled the bolt out and its not worked? that would be my last option drill and then retap the hole?

I have thought of heating the spindle bit an smshing a smaller socket onto the top. My other idea is chiseling the stud into a square shape and smashing a socket onto that.

if that also fails i will have to make my own locking nut tool

can you not grip the top with a set of self grippers?

    other ideas ermm...running out haha

cut a slot in the top and try use a screw driver
get a punch/ small screwdriver in one of the holes and try hammer it round

I cant get grips on the top, the recess for the wheel bolts is to deep. Smashing a grove i the top is another idea i will try and have considered but cant see me getting enough force on it
