car starts crap

   ive just cleaned my icv or (stepper motor)as it was caked in crap,i had to prize it apart.ive just put it back on,now when i fire the saxo up it starts but starts slow.ive checked the battery and thats ok , ive had a new coil pack and new spark plugs, ive even cleaned out the injectors.when it starts the engine judders and the starter motor makes a grinding or scraping noise just before it starts,once i start revving it up it idles ok and drives ok its just the initial start up,has anyone got any ideas.

   Ill try an help but im a bit of a noob? Would it be possible to buy a new Stepper motor for your car? Easiest option tbh thats if they sell them? Or have you tryed greasing it up like you said there is a grinding and scraping noise?

   Disconnect the battery for an hour and let the ecu reset

   ive just took the idle stepper motor out again ,cleaned and regreased the rotors left the battery off for over an hour ,then ive put the stepper motor and battery back on but the tickover is slow it starts juddering when it does start and mikes that shitty grinding noise ,its like the starter motor is not putting enough power through.when i put my foot on the accelerater a few times it idles ok.so im thinking that it could be my starter motor fucked
