    Hello

Basically i bought the car at christmas which already had the amp and sub in them but have never worked :/ I have only recently tried to set it up but i get this wierd noise :/

I got the grounding wire fitted perfectly, the power wire goes to the battery good, and all wires to go the head unit fine but when i turn my engine on the speakers in the back squeak like crazy ( like a kettle ) and as i rev the engine it goes higher pitch, i can hear music threw them very quietly but the squeak is too loud... ive tried so many thing today but decided to call it as im absolutely frozen

the speakers i have are Pioneer TS-E6996's X2

And the amp i have is a Renegade 1400 (REN1400)

If anyone knows how to fix this problem it would be great

some people put this down to the remote cable and the power cables running next to each other through the car but i've never had any trouble with that but its worth moving them away from each other possible re running one of them down the other side of the car other than that check the wires off the amp onto the speakers are not bridged and the + to + and not + to -, but if that dont solve the problem then its probably worth buying new speakers hope this sorts it out for you mate

what your getting is called alternator noise..... happens whit a lot of cars best way to get rid is to pop down your local car audio dealers or go online and buy a suppressor it pulgs in to your phono leads and stops the hi piched sqweek.
