Loosing Oil!!

   My 106 has got a v plate vtr engine in it and it seems to be blowing oil out off the dipstick hole. if you take the oil cap off the rocker cover it breathes like hell through it. av blocked my dipstick hole up to keep my engine bay clean but still not sure why it does it? can anyone help or has anyone got a mk2 vtr engine close to me for sale?

   I'd find out and sort the problem before running it for too long like that.

   its been like it for bout 5 months now n its got no better or worse. ill just drop a new engine in it i think

   had 2 lying around for a month and sold both in the past couple of days and only 20 miles away from you..DOH!

   Most likely you have developed some crankcase compression whereby your piston rings have worn and the gases caused by the combustion are forcing their way through the rings and coming out the dipstick

    check all your breathers before condemning the engine

    you aint fitted a different air filter or anything and blocked up some breathers while you were at it?
