heater blower

    Hi there hopefully one of you can help me i have a saxo 1.0 and the heater blower works when it wants 2!!! it doesnt come on when i start my engine it sumtimes comes on when i go over bumps in the road!! so i know its got to be a bad/loose connection but dont know where to start

    any help on sorting this problem wud be much appreciated thanks

    There is no real easy way to detect where the fault will be. It is a matter of tracing all wires connected to the system and checking the wire, connections and integrety of the system in a methodical order and looking for the obvious.

    Mine was doing the exact same thing then one day it decided not to work at all, bought a new one for a tenner off the bay and now it works everytime.

    usually heater motor, contacts inside make and break when you hit bumps

    cheers guys wheres the heater blower motor? behind dash? ive been on couple of sites and theres talk about connections at ignition switch?

    motor is above your right knee under the dash, a real pain to get at. faults with ignition switch usually scupper the heater,power steering and heated rear window i believe
