Plastic Welding a crack on bumper *Pic added*

   Someone bumped into my on Monday and they have cracked and chipped my bumper.
   
   The crack is about 2" long and the guy chipped it too, and has said he'd pay to get it fixed.
   
   I got a quote for repair yesterday morning from a local body repair place for £208 but they said that they would Plastic Weld it up and spray it for that price.
   
   Does anybody have any experience with Plastic welding & is it worth doing or am i better to find a second hand bumper and get that resprayed and fitted?

   personally bud i would get a new bumper you may even find one same colour... once it has been cracked you have lost the strength in it although plastic welding woul;d cover it up it wouldnt ever be as strong..
   
   thats my opionon anyway

   if you do it well enough it will be weakened but not by alot as i do stuff like this every other day at college :/

   buy another bumper mate, i plastic wealded part of a radiator a few months back, i had to use tons of plastic from another radiator then after a few weeks it leaked again, you wont get the strenth back
