Power Problem ... Still Not Solved !!!

   Hey Guys
   
   Have recently had a problem of car not starting, so bump started it left to run for 5 - 10 mins didnt drive the car till following night when with in less than a mile it started to be hesitant (juddering).. was usured down the battery or alternator problem
   
   took battery to get tested and it failed so have replaced that today
   
   took car for a drive tonite and again within less than a mile it was hesitant again and started to nearlt stall...
   
   so do u think its my alternator gone
   
   there was a electrical buring sort of smell when i poped bonnet
   
   Please Help Guys
   
   Its killing me not having a car as i need it for work

   Just to add would the battery light come on if the alternator wasnt charging it as a multimeter test has come back as normal???

   any garage should be able to check that the alternator is charging or if battery is any good or not.
   other than that check the obvious mate
   have you got good connectors to the terminals are they all tight wire not frayed and thin good earth connection
   are you leaving something on in the car
