basically just fitted a 16v engine in my car and yesterday is was idling perfect at 1k rpm but it was over heating so i fitted a vts nissens rad today and i haven't bled it properly and took it for a drive its still getting very hot but the light isn't coming on, but now the idling is horrible keeps going down to 500 rpm then jumps up the 1k rpm then goes back down again and at junctions it stalls, so would me not bleeding the rad properly have anything to do with it stalling ie the air in the system bogging it down? i wouldn't have thought so but my mate said this could be why the idle is rubbish now
is their a link between the car stalling ands the radiator not being bled properly?

#2may be getting dodgy coolant temp reading, should bleed it properly before you drive it. only takes 5 mins so not worth the risk of over heating your engine.

#3yea, its just me being over excited been without a car for almost 3 weeks while its been on the drive and know i now its kinda raod worthy i couldnt resist taking it out lol
-
#4just remembered why my car isnt idling! i think i forgot to connect the pissing maf sensor back up when i unplugged it to gain better access to the back of the engine when changing my rad hoses, god im such an idiot lol

#5haha. hows it running now?
-
#6map sensor will make it run like a dog idling wise !!

#7yea it runs perfect now lol still need to do a few things to get the car 100% the rad needs to be bled properly and the clutch is a bit weird and my mate said he saw gearbox oil under the car earlier so ive gotta check that out tomorrow
