Important! : S/S Exhaust but which one?!

   Hi ppl, I'm looking at getting a new exhaust before the week is over but.....I have a phase 2 vtr but seem like I have a phase 1 exhaust! the cat is under near where the gear stick is, in the car! the sites I'v bin on for an exhaust say the cat shud be direct off the mani ...is this right?

   ph1 or ph2 exhaust dont matter, both the same - do the same job, both fit bang on.

   Only Y reg and onwards have the close coupled CAT, i.e in the manifold downpipe. Yours is in the right place.
   
   Piper would be my choice.
