Knocking noise (tried all the usual suspects)

Getting a bit annoyed with this now so i will describe the noise and say what i have checked so far.

Car is lowered 40mm on Spax PSX kit.

I have a knocking noise that has no relation to whether the wheel is turnt in a certain direction etc. Its fine on smooth roads but on uneven roads i can feel it through my feet. I also feel a clunk quite heavily which i can feel through my feet when i come off the clutch mainly when changing into second gear.

    Following items have been done/checked.

    1) New lower gearbox mount
    2) New droplinks.
    3) Wishbones bolts in footwells tightened.
    4) Brake calipers tight
    5) Steering rack is not loose.
    6) Track rod ends look visually ok
    7) Track rod middle control arm is tight and looks visually ok
    8) Wishbone ball joints look visually ok.
    9) All rubber bushes checked and look visually ok.
    10) Wheel nuts tight.
    11) Gear linkages dont appear to be hitting anything.
    12) Driveshafts look visually in ok condition and dont knock or clunk on full lock.
    13) Had a new clutch and release bearing less than 2000 miles ago.

This is doing my head in now so if anyone has any ideas or thinks a garage would easily be able to solve the problem let me know.

    Thanks.

Have you checked the gearbox mount under the battery?

What about the engine mount on the drivers side, near the ECU? The rubber in those do perish and cause all sorts of knocking noises.

    Check engine mounts.

Also re-check your wishbone ball joints, they might look fine, but get the wheel off the ground and get a crowbar in there and see if there is any play.

Where the ball joint goes in the strut it might have worn the strut.
